The Powerball Techno is a slightly different Powerball to other Powerballs in that the speed it is spinning, or has spun is displayed with LED’s around the edge of the powerball. As well as this, when the Powerball spins it displays a group of firelines which range from red to blue in colour and very entrancing.
If you have not heard of the Powerball Techno or Powerballs in general then you are missing out on a superb gyroscope that gives great fun and highly addictive but with a more serious side of assisting in increasing wrist and arm strength as well as rehabilitation benefits for RSI
It's about the same size as a tennis ball and weighs just a little more, but take a Powerball in your hand, set that rotor in motion with the cord provided (or use your finger when you get used to it) and you'll experience an extraordinary sensation. Powerball slowly comes alive with gyroscopic force - a sublime yet pleasant resistance to your movement which is transmitted directly into your wrist and arms and which provides soothing, non impact rehabilitation at these lower speeds.
A Powerball Techno is geared slightly towards the fun side of spinning a Powerball but this should not put you off using this gyro for sport or rehab. To begin spinning the Powerball you use the included starter cord which fits into a hole on the Powerball Techno. Once you pull this quick enough, the Powerball starts to spin and holding it in your hand and rotating your wrist, it will build up momentum and force.
One of the great things about playing with a NSD Powerball is being able to compete against your friends. Once you have a score, you can use it as a benchmark to improve on yourself, or for your friends to try and beat you so addictive fun. The Powerball Techno can spin up and over 16,000 rpm but will take a lot of practise to begin to get this high but the Powerball is not recommended for children under 14 years of age.
Bring your new Powerball up to 10,000rpm, the forces are now much stronger, much more vibrant. Higher! Take the NSD Powerball Techno right up to an unbelievable 15,000rpm at which point it's exerting almost 40lbs of pressure on your limbs and is travelling at nearly 250 revolutions per second. No batteries, no motor, just pure gyroscopic power. You can also get other Powerballs such as the Powerball Neon Pro, 250hz and Metal Powerball which weighs considerably more and for the more experienced Powerballer.
